What’s for lunch? You hope it’s not toxic lead, plastic and vinyl. And whatever delicious, nutritious food you’ve packed should fill up your tummy – not the garbage can, too.

Yet so often these days we can’t be sure our lunchboxes are non-toxic and waste-free. There are surprisingly few options to the standard vinyl, insulated lunchboxes that are so widely and cheaply available through big-box retailers.

• The handmade ECOlunchbag is machine washable and 100% cotton. Sewn from fabrics that are hand block printed by artisans in India, the bag is fully reversible and adjustable to fit children and adults. It converts to a backpack, sling bag, shoulder bag and hip bag.
• The three napkins measure 16 inches by 12 inches and are designed for use as placemats or napkins.
• The bag measures 12 inches tall and 6 inches wide. The bottom is square, measuring 6 inches by 6 inches.

• Tucked inside the bag is a two-tier stainless steel food container that's independently tested as lead-free and made from high-quality, food-grade stainless steel. Dishwasher safe. No plastic. Closures are kid-tested and will not snap little fingers.
• The stainless food container, which is designed to fit three different foods, measures 4 inches wide, 5 1/2 inches long and 2 3/4 inches high. The bottom layer is 1 inch deep and fits a small whole sandwich on sliced bread. The top layer is 1 1/2 inches deep and fits cut fruit, dry snacks, pasta or salad. The small inner box, which contains 1/2 cup, is good for thick yogurt, thick applesauce or cut fruit. We've chosen not to use any plastic or gaskets so the lids are not 100% leak-proof.

EcoLunchbox Three-in-One

Ready to say goodbye to plastic baggies and other leachy plastic food containers? Try our three-in-one stainless steel lunchbox! This nifty food container is great for packing a child's lunch, which typically contains three items: a sandwich and two side dishes. Most children prefer their foods served separately... because they don't like them mixed up, so our ECOlunchbox < Rectangle fits the bill perfectly. It's great for adults, too, so long as serving sizes are not too big.
• 2-layer stainless steel food container with upstairs inner box. Dishwasher safe. No plastic. Closures are kid-tested and will not snap little fingers.
• When closed, the lunchbox measures 4 inches wide, 5 1/2 inches long and 2 3/4 inches high. The bottom layer is 1 inch deep and fits a whole sandwich on sliced bread. The top layer is 1 1/2 inches deep and fits cut fruit, dry snacks, pasta or salad.
• The small inner box, which contains 1/2 cup of wet foods, is good for applesauce, cut fruit and salads, but its pressure fitting stainless steel lid is not 100% leak-proof because no plastic is used. Made in India.
• Independently lab tested as lead-free, food-safe, series 205 stainless steel.

Oval Eco Lunchbox

Tired of using Tupperware and other plastics? But you don't have other options for packing food for lunch? Try our new Oval ECOlunchbox made out of high-quality, food-grade stainless steel.
•Measures 6 1/2 inches long by 5 inches wide and 2 inches tall. Fits two halves of a sandwich stacked with room for sides. Also great for pastas, salads and other leftovers.
•Contains a stainless steel cup (3 1/2" diameter) with a no-leak, BPA-free plastic lid for sauces, dressings, yogurt, applesauce or other wet items. The cup fits inside the larger oval box or can be used separately.
• We have chosen not to use any plastic or other gaskets in the pressure-fitting lid of the oval box, so it's not 100% leak proof. Soups and other very wet items should be put in the small sauce cup with the plastic lid.
• Independently lab tested as lead free, food-safe grade 304 stainless steel.
• Dishwasher safe. Not for use in the microwave. Made in Thailand.
